What is the Meaning & Definition of area

From latin arĕa, the concept of area means an area of land that is included within certain limits. In other words, it's the space bounded by geographical, Zoological, economic characteristics or of other kind. The word area is also used as a synonym of land, insofar as it is a field of action, a box or a domain. For example: "access to the playing area is reserved for members of the tennis club" or "I am unable to answer this question. My cultural area has nothing to do. »
In geometry, the area is the area within a perimeter (or the extent of the area of a geometric figure), whose best-known unit is per square metre. There are many formulas to calculate the area of the various figures, such as triangles, quadrilaterals, circles and ellipses.
Rest area means any surface of land reserved for vehicles on a highway to rest during a long journey. It allows the driver to take a break to take a NAP (because sleep is dangerous driving), to relax a little, for eating, for refuelling purposes or to place a phone call (the use of mobile phone while driving is discouraged, or even punished by law, because of the concentration). Similarly, a break allows the vehicle's engine to cool a little.
In the field of building and architecture, the area is a ground prepared (in general, a flat surface), with or without coating: the area of a floor, a pool, a House, etc.
