What is the Meaning & Definition of bicycle

The term bicycle is one that is used to refer to a type of particular individual transport whose main and salient characteristics are that it has two wheels and it works through the force that exercise the legs of those who use it. The bike exists in the West since the 19th century, which still the first models were quite far from what we know today as bicycle. Used largely in urban areas, the bike is considered as one of the means of transport more environmentally friendly since it does not require any type of fuel, and at the same time one of the healthiest forms of travel. The format of the bike is easily understandable. It works through a system of pulleys that make a chain to keep on simultaneous movement to the two wheels that are part of the system. In this way, when you spin the wheels through the pedals, they come into movement and allow the bike to move about the space. The bicycle must have in addition to the wheels and the chain linking them with a seat where the person is located to travel comfortably. Other elements that often but that are not completely necessary for its functioning are the brakes (applied on wheels in some cases and in others exerted to move the pedals to the rear), mirrors, lights, guards of rims, grills where tying or carry luggage, baskets, horns, etc.
There are many different types of bicycles. The most common are two wheels of the same size, although there are others that are more legendary and have front wheel much larger than the second. Others make that person go slightly lying down or with your back supported by a backing. Within the traditional model of bike we find other examples such as the mountain bike or bikes all terrain, the cyclists, the t-shirts, the children's.
