What is the Meaning & Definition of jewel

When we use the term jewel we are referring to something of great value. Formally, the word gem appoints all parts as accessories used to decorate the body: necklaces, bracelets, bracelets, earrings, rings, buckles, etc. To say that these objects are jewels we are giving them a much more refined character since this term is almost exclusively used for pieces made with precious stones, gold, silver or a very delicate and expensive work. Thus, the jewels differ from what is commonly understood as bijouterie (same parts or furnishing but made with less noble and therefore much more accessible materials). In the same way, according to this idea, we can say that something or someone is a gem when we consider that it has much value (for example, a book that is a jewel is because it is unique or is important for someone, in the same way that a person considered a jewel is also special and different from others). But returning to the common sense of the word, the jewels are one of the elements that more human beings has used throughout history to decorate your body. Thus, when textiles were not enough colorful (as happened in ancient Egypt), the colors were bestowed on the outfit through gold and lapis lazuli. At other times, jewels have also had an important value as element of power, having rulers and Kings crowns made in gold and covered with precious stones showing his dominance over the rest of human beings. Today, the jewels are seen more than anything as a matter of beauty used primarily by women to decorate parts of your body such as fingers, wrists or ankles, neck and chest, ears, hair, etc. It is very clear that when we talk about jewelry we talk about accessories or expensive items that only a small part of the population can be purchased. Its uniqueness lies in two main facts: the use of extremely expensive and fragile materials such as precious stones and on the other hand the enormous work of creativity, accomplishment and resolution requiring. This is another element that manages to differentiate the jewels of the jewelry.
