What is the Meaning & Definition of senses

The senses are the physiological mechanism which has a human being to be able to perceive items or situations that make purely sensitive life. These are five, in both their study and classification is due to the contribution of several disciplines such as cognitive psychology and the philosophy of perception, among the most prominent. Below I will list and sintetizaré the characteristics of each of these, as well as their achievements.
The sense of sight or vision is one that allows us to detect electromagnetic energy thanks to the visible light which enters through the eye, then sends it a signal to the brain to make so that image happens to be seen. Indeed, from the biological point of view, the eyes are practically an external projection of the brain and perhaps the main point of contact outside of our mind and consciousness. This has been further reinforced in the current audiovisual civilization in which the image is part of everyday reality.
Then we have the sense of taste or flavor that is the one who is responsible for the distinction of the flavors that enter our mouths through the food we eat. Our language consists of four recipients of the taste (sour, sweet, salty and acid), although since the last century there was a fifth a couple of years ago was confirmed; It is called it is called it umami and who has the ability to distinguish the amino acid glutamate that usually found in meats. Compared with other living beings, the taste of human beings has been reduced, perhaps as a result of the use of the language with other relevant purposes, of which which most important, by far, is the phonation, i.e. the ability to talk and communicate.
Following, we have the sense of hearing, also known as hearing is that which enables us to perceive the Middle vibrations ranging between 20 and 20,000 HZ. This sense is one of the fundamental ways of contact with the environment and with other persons and, despite the limitations of the human ear in comparison with what we observe in other animals, its abolition is a serious problem for the life of the relationship.
Touch is one of the ways, in which the organ more extensive and heavy body, namely the skin, interacts with the outside world. Thanks to the touch, in addition, recognise friendly or harmful external stimuli, as well as the varied sensations as they are from a caress to a trauma.
And finally there is the sense of smell or odor, this is another of the chemical senses along with the taste; but, unlike this one which has 5 precise taste receptors, Olfaction has hundreds of olfactory receptors. In humans, its capacity has been reduced significantly, but still is the sense with neurological way faster and more direct.
Meanwhile, senses that we human beings are not only reduced (from physiological type), but there are other variants of senses that allow us to perform and carry out other types of operations which are not limited only to the sensitive issue.
So we have the sense of balance which is the one that allows us to remain stable at a certain point. Then we have the common sense, which is that which allows us to maintain prudence and good sense in certain situations, since its implementation makes that we seek in our reason those beliefs and common propositions to watch at any given time and that it requires if or if a response on our part. And finally there is the sense of humour, which, is having it, will allow us to live a life and take certain circumstances in a more relaxed way. Seguin some scientists, is the sense of humor one of the few distinctions between humans and other animals, so the value of this tool should never be canonical neglect deplored...
