What is the Meaning & Definition of teacher

The teacher is one who teaches or that relates to education. The word comes from the latin term docens, which, in turn, derives from docēre ('teach'). In everyday language, the concept is generally used as a synonym for teacher or master, although these words do not want to say the same thing. The teacher or the teacher is the person who teaches a particular science or an art. However, the master is the one who it is recognized an extraordinary ability about the matter that he instructs. Thus, a teacher may not be a master (and vice versa). In addition to this distinction, all teachers must have teaching skills to become effective agents of the learning process.
The teacher recognizes that education is his dedication and his basic profession. Thus, his skills are to teach the student the best possible.
There are teachers for all levels (kindergarten, college, high school and University), which may exercise their work both in public schools as a private. A teacher can work on his own account (as independent professional) or on behalf of others, under the direction of an employer.
Education, as an activity, is achieved through the interaction of three elements, namely: the teacher, his students and the knowledge object. After designing encyclopedist, the teacher transmits knowledge to the student through several means, techniques and tools of support. Thus, the teacher is the source of knowledge and the student, an unlimited receiver of that one. Lately, this process is considered more dynamic and reciprocal.
